ARCHITECTURE AND ANTIQYITY
The main temple, the samadhi mandir, was originally known as buttiwada. Gopal butti a baba devotee, constructed it as a shrine to lord vithal however the baba is said to have told butti, i will come to reside here one day when the baba passed away on october 15 1918 his discipiles decided to bury his mortal remaines inside the wada. Present day shridi has grown around the shridi sai baba sansthan, located on the high way, making the temple the centere of the town. Most hotels have come up around the temple preemises. The sunshathan is above 2 km north-east of the state transport bus stand. Autorikshaws, which have no meteres but remain the best mode of transport in town, charge rs 20 to get you there.
THINGS TO SEE AND DO.
It is possible to see the shrings in and arround the sansthan in a single day. But shridi needs to be savored peacefully, with shradda and saburi twin virtus professed by the baba. There are other shrine you can visit besides a libraray, a museum and a beutifull garden.
